With over 20,000 downloads in the first week of its launch, the CrimeReports iPhone app is CrimeReports’ most rapidly adopted product ever. But we’re not the only one who think this is a cool new app.
Already this week, Benton Harbor, Mich., Police Chief Roger Lange called the CrimeReports service, “transparency in the truest sense” (source). And just yesterday, two major network affiliates in Austin, Texas, both ran full evening news stories about CrimeReports and the new iPhone app. We’re happy that we are making a difference in people’s lives, helping law enforcement agencies to open up their data to the public, and giving citizens the information they want and need from their local law enforcement department.
